Solana collections verification rules creation process
Solana collections have a really tricky way of setting up the verification rules because of different types of address structures for different collections – some of them have traditional collection addresses and some – don’t. This guide will provide the most universal way to get the right address to put in the Contract field in the Bocto Verify Rule card.
Note: If you don’t mind doing some grunt work but read less, then move directly to the In General section at the end.
Action 1. Open the card with any token in the desired collection and scroll it down. If you see the On-chain Collection address – that’s perfect – use it right away in the Verify Rule card Contract field and we're done here! If there is no – move to the next action.
Action 2. If there is no On-chain Collection address in the Details section, then copy the Mint address instead and move to the next action.
Action 3. Now visit https://solana.fm/ and paste the Mint address in the search field – wait a bit when it appears in the dropdown and click on it.
Now, copy the UPDATE AUTHORITY address and use it in the Verify Rule card Contract field.
Just in case 👇
For the collections that have On-chain Collection addresses, the UPDATE AUTHORITY will always be different for every NFT in the collection.
For the collections that have no On-chain Collection addresses, the UPDATE AUTHORITY will always be the same for every NFT in the collection.
Open the card with any token in the desired collection and click on a blue link in the Mint string. You will be automatically redirected to the corresponding page on https://solana.fm
Here you will see the COLLECTION ADDRESS – use it in the Verify Rule card Contract field.
In case there is no COLLECTION ADDRESS, use UPDATE AUTHORITY instead.
Action 1. Open the card with any token in the desired collection and expand the Details section.
If you see the Contract Address string – that’s perfect – use it right away in the Verify Rule card Contract field, and we're done here! If there is no – move to the next action.
Action 2. If there is no Contract Address string in the Details section, then click on the Token ID link – it will lead you to https://solscan.io/ where you need to open the Authority dropdown menu and copy Update Authority address – now, use it right away in the Verify Rule card Contract field.
If trying to extract the needed address you will be facing with any outstanding situation which is not described in this guide, the general concept is next – you need to somehow extract any token address from the desired collection and then just search it on https://solana.fm/ then getting the Contract Address or the Update Authority address in case the Contract Address is missed. To do this, follow the steps below:
Action 1. If the NFT on the marketplace opens in a pop-up but not in the new page, expand the NFT card of the token from the desired collection via the special button (ME or Tensor).
Action 2. Copy the last part of the URL address right from the browser. On different marketplaces and for different collections, it can look different as well, but you only need the end part of the full URL address.
Action 3. Search address on https://solana.fm/ and get the Contract Address or the Update Authority address in case the Contract Address is missed.
